Building The Life You DESIRE

It takes a lot of dedication to envision a life you want and go after it.
I used to believe that just because God placed a purpose on your heart and strongly led you to pursue it, that meant you would inevitably reach the goal.
I'm learning that this is not true. Pursuing your purpose takes partnership with God. You have to take SERIOUS action yourself to truly reach your desired destination. No matter how many times you stop and start over, you have to stay on track with the end goal.
I'm also learning that if you want something bad enough you will put in the work to make it a reality. Excuses begin to irritate you. You start to realize that the people winning have put in the work.
My struggle has always been with consistency. I find that when one thing knocks me out of progress, I allow the progress to dwindle altogether. Consistency requires routines and routines require discipline. And what a struggle discipline has been for me all of my life!
Throughout college, I never understood the difference between me and others who seemed to have their lives together. There could be plenty of viable answers. Maybe their upbringing was more structured, or they didn't struggle with low-energy the way I did. Nonetheless, I'd like the rest of my life and pursuits to look and feel different.
I want to find solutions where I have complaints. I want to be comfortable in the act of self-discipline. I want to build routines that allow me to elevate myself and my goals. I want to be comfortable with habits that create growth.
In order to build the life that I want, I have to partner with God and put in the work! I will speak over my mind and tell it to submit to the will of the Lord in every area of my life. I desire change, focus, discipline, and growth in all aspects. I don't want the goals that I have set for this year to evaporate and become the same goals I have next year. I want to reach them.
